THE EXHIBITION

From September 16 to October 16, 2019, I invite you to attend my FOR THE LOVE OF LAOS exhibition. This is a personal photographic journey and a platform from which to raise awareness of Laos, a small, mountainous and landlocked country nestled in the heart of Southeast Asia. Since first setting foot there in December 2011, as a volunteer with the Canadian charity Adopt a Village in Laos, Laos easily captured my heart and has never let me go.

When visiting the exhibition, look for a small countertop with a Buddha head. This display includes a sample of my photo book, which contains all the images from my exhibition, and newsletters, which are specifically designed to raise awareness of Laos.

The exhibition prints ($150 each) and book ($65) are available for sale, with at least one-third of proceeds going to support efforts in Laos.

THE VENUE

Owned and operated by two Lao men from Vientiane, Sabai Sabai is renown for its vibrant, friendly atmosphere and its delicious, beautifully prepared cuisine with distinct Thai and Lao influences. This very popular restaurant is conveniently located in downtown Toronto. While not required, reservations are suggested.

The restaurant is located directly below Firkin on Bloor, on the south side of Bloor Street East and east of Yonge.
